Strategy The strategy of bombing Hiroshima was to simply force the Japanese into surrendering. The "Enola Gay" flew over Japan on August 6, 1945 and dropped the "Little Boy" atomic bomb after dropping pamphlets warning the Japanese of their iminent attack. Players United States and Japan Outcome The outcome was both positive and negative, because it forced America into dropping another atomic bomb, killing many more unnecessarily. It is estimated that 69% of Hiroshima's buildings were destroyed, and 30% of the population were killed immediately.
Purpose The purpose of this battle is because America didn't know how much longer they could hold out on the Pacific Front. Importance The bombing of Hiroshima resulted in America dropping the second bomb in Nagasaki, causing Japan to surrender.
